Upload a Test Bank

Upload Publisher Test Banks and Import to D2L

The following steps are for retrieving a test bank zip file from a publisher site and importing it to D2L.

In some cases the zip file, when uploaded, creates tests; in other cases, the Question Library is uploaded and the instructor creates tests from the Question Library (test bank).

• Go to the publisher website.
• Search for the correct textbook then locate the Resources.
• Locate the Desire2Learn Zip file. This file may contain a test bank or it may contain tests depending on what the publisher provides.
• Accept the conditions and download the zip file.
• Go to the course in D2L and click on Edit Course.
• Choose Import/Export/Copy Components.
• Choose Import Components > From a file. Search for the zip file.
• Click on Start. If you receive an error message or if a red "X" displays when you try to import the test bank, D2L doesn't support the selected format. Our experience has been that BB6 and forward as well as D2L formats import seamlessly.
• Select all items in the list and click Continue until the process is Done.
• Go to Quizzes on the menu bar and look to see if quizzes display or click on the Question Library link to see if a question library was created.
